Come get in touch with your thoughts, your heart. A fantastic peaceful place for the mind to rest or be completely rejuvenated on this island resort once built for this healthful reason. This 6 acre island paradise has the look and feel of the Tropics, yet you are connected to our secure gated estate by our two gated drives to land. Large Birds of Paradise, abundant Lush vegetation, Palms, clusters of Bamboo, roses, Gardenias, Lavendar and the Olde feeling of Florida under our large hanging Live Oaks gives this island a swanky feel! 8 bedrooms, all with King sized beds and one queen, most bedrooms have their own water closet (except one). The second floor bathrooms have their own verandahs overlooking the water. The treasure that we were blessed to have found should be shared with others! The Island is surrounded by water on all sides, except for the drives where you are able to get on without the use of a boat. For those that want to have exclusion and privacy, this is the place! The lanai: A beautiful place to spend your time.
The sound of birds is not the only thing that you will hear, fish jumping is another sound. When we tell you that you will see Dolphins, Manatees and Bald Eagles while you sit on the Florida Plantation style front porch, we mean it! Mothers Day was a treat for me as a Mother and her baby Dolphin came to our water steps and spent an hour swimming back and forth enjoying our company as much as we enjoyed theirs.

Summary: This house is so nice. It looks out over the water where we saw dolphins & manatees swim by. There are kayaks provided if you want to go out and explore the water even more. We had fun fishing off of the deck and the lawn area. The pool was so nice and relaxing. There is a bbq by the pool and tons of loungers and tables. We spent a lot of time out there. The house itself is very well equipped. There was nice shampoo and conditioner in all of the bathrooms, plenty of towels, etc. The beds were very comfortable and had cozy linens. The kitchen was very nicely stocked with everything you might need. There are even lots of spices, seaonings, cooking oils, etc. You definitely won't have to go to the store for any of this stuff. The host provided us with tons of paper towels, tp, garbage bags, laundry soap etc. The host, Dee, is very nice and accommodating. She gave us ideas for places to go in the area and stopped by the make sure we didn't need anything. She even left a beautiful tray with tons of goodies and foods for us to try upon our arrival. This is a special place that our whole family really enjoyed!

Summary: This is a gorgeous house! We had a wonderful stay here with our kids and grandkids. Certain areas need some TLC, like the open torn screens in the pool area which let birds and bugs in, but it wasn’t a major deterrent from us enjoying the property. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, and saw many manatees and a dolphin. The neighbor was very rude to us on several occasions. We didn’t find a lot to do in the area, but our goal was to relax, and this house was perfect for that. The porch was so inviting for morning coffee and the little ones loved the warm temperature of the pool.

Summary: This is a wonderful, very large home with 6 bedrooms (2 of which are separated with French doors providing 8 bedrooms). There are also 5 beautifully remodeled Carrera marble baths. We requested a floor plan and Deni sent a hand drawn version. This home has outstanding linens, towels, pillows & bedding. Far above and beyond the average rental home. We had plenty of towels for our whole party of 14 and then some. The kitchen is outfitted very well, a chefs kitchen for sure. There is a full sized commercial fridge, many platters, trays, cookware, baskets, spices, utensils, beautiful china sets, etc. We had so much fun bringing platters out and enjoying it by the pool or the wrap around porch. There is also a huge grill! The owner provided a lot of recommendations for the area including dining and things to do. Lastly, she welcomed us with a large charcuterie platter upon our arrival. An extra special touch. We read the reviews about all the sheer curtains and brought sleep masks. The current A/C situation struggles with the sun on the windows all day. Lastly, the owner does have pets. The house was wonderfully cleaned upon our arrival but if you are allergy sensitive be aware. We would definitely return with a large group to visit this home again.

Summary: Denise (owner) and her property are both outstanding. We had a group of 14 people celebrating 3 birthdays in 3 generations. The house was great for being together with an excellent kitchen and gathering spots (back porch, pool and family areas) with ample bedroom space for all. We were welcomed with birthday wishes and a lovely food tray and enjoyed the property and area thoroughly.

Summary: We rent a house each year for our family and their children. This house is has everything you will need. It had all the spices, paper towel, T.P., trash bags... Things we normally have to supply. The house is perfect both inside and out. Well maintained grounds, LARGE BBQ with two gas tanks. Owner met us and showed us the house. Rent this house and you will enjoy your stay.

Summary: The location was great. We the property when our vacation to Captiva was cancelled due to Ian. It was like your own resort, paddle boards, large pool, kayaks and fishing from the sea wall. The large grounds were beautiful.

Summary: We came in for family Thanksgiving. The home easily accommodated our larger group- even had a few beds to spare. Due to the recent hurricane, we weren't sure how well the property would have faired. It was immediately clear, however, that the team put monumental effort into making things as lovely as possible. Freshly potted flowers in the boxes and grassy areas cleared of debris. Care was taken to make us feel welcome- even the cute resident cat TomTom was friendly! The family made great use of the available kayaks and paddle board to visit the local manatees and play with the dolphins that came right up to the house daily. The kids had a great time building sand castles with the white sand that was provided to make a beach for them. The only downside was the amount of nibbling insects when sitting outside. However, bug spray was provided, and even they didn't dampen our spirits. I would recommend this home for large families that want to feel together while still having space to spread out.

Summary: We did a week-long retreat for some team members of our company and this place couldn't have been more perfect. The updates to this house (including what seemed like all brand new bathrooms and a marvelous kitchen) were over the top perfect. We had room for everyone and we managed to catch fish every day we were there. Tons of wildlife right in the backyard and that back deck on the water was our favorite place to hang out, to grill, and to have a cocktail as the sun went down. Definitely coming back!
